HYDRANGEA PAN BOUNCY
Grower Notes:
Hydrangea paniculata 'Bokomabou' PPAF Bouncy™ is more commonly known as Bouncy™ Panicle Hydrangea. The name says it all! Bouncy™ is celebrated for its incredibly strong, 'spring-loaded' stems that resist flopping, even when weighed down by large flower clusters after heavy rain or wind. They always bounce back! This is a significant improvement over other panicle hydrangeas, ensuring a consistently neat and upright appearance.
Bouncy™ Hydrangea has a compact habit and provides long-lasting blooms from mid-summer through fall, producing massive, lacy-white flower panicles that can measure 12-15 inches long. As the season progresses, the blooms gracefully transition to a showy rosy-pink and then deep rose, providing continuous color and interest.
It thrives in full sun (at least 6+ hours of direct sun) in cooler climates (USDA Zones 3-6), which promotes the strongest stems and most abundant blooms. In hotter climates (Zone 7+), provide some afternoon shade to protect the plant from scorching sun. It is not fussy about soil type, as long as it is well-draining. Avoid planting in areas that stay wet, as this can lead to root rot.
