The Somerset Red Maple is a beautiful medium-sized, deciduous red maple that is a cross between October Glory and Autumn Flame Maples. The Somerset has an upright, oval habit with excellent branching structure while young that develops a more uniform shape as it matures. The tree is a male and produces no seed. It shows excellent, long lasting red fall color, longer than many other maples.
The Somerset Red Maple is a popular shade tree for good reason. It is a fast-grower, has an excellent shape and outstanding and long-lasting red fall color. It is ideal as a residential garden, street or park planting.
