SOFT SERVE® SAWARA FALSECYPRESS

Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Dow Whiting' PP20883 Proven Winners® Color Choice® Soft Serve® is a compact, conical Falsecypress with soft fern-like branches with bright green and silvery blue on the underside. It is a sport of Chamaecyparis 'Boulevard' and makes a great substitute for the Dwarf Alberta Spruce. Its compact habit does not require pruning.

Soft Serve® Falsecypress is deer resistant and salt tolerant. It thrives in part sun in average, loamy, evenly moist, well-drained soils that should be lime-free. It also benefits from protection from harsh winter sun and winds.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Fertilize in the spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
