CANADA RED SELECT ORNAMENTAL CHERRY
The Canada Red Select (also called Virginia Bird Cherry) is an improved Canada Red small ornamental cherry tree that was selected by Bailey Nursery for its hardiness and straight trunk. It is an unusual ornamental cherry that has emerging bright green foliage that turns dark reddish-purple as it matures. Its small flowers are white and fragrant. In fall, small chokecherries appear and its foliage deepens in shades of red and orange tones. Birds love the fruits! Best used in shrub borders, open woodland gardens and native plant areas.
