Cercis canadensis Midnight Express™ is commonly referred to as Midnight Express™ Redbud. This Proven Winners® Color Choice® selection is an understory deciduous tree that features a rounded shape with classic pea-shaped pink blooms in spring and brilliant burgundy foliage through the growing season.
Midnight Express™ thrives in partial shade in average, evenly moist, very well-drained soils. It can tolerate varied soil conditions, however, it will not tolerate wet, poorly drained soils.
