CERCIS CAN CAROLINA SWEETHEART
Grower Notes:

Cercis canadensis 'NCCC1' PP27,712 is commonly referred to as Carolina Sweetheart® Redbud. It is a easy-to-grow deciduous, multi-trucked, understory tree with a rounded crown that reaches 20-30 feet tall with a slightly larger spread. It features beautiful, heart-shaped, rose-pink flowers in early spring before leaves develop, attracting hummingbirds beneficial bees to the yard. When flowers fade, leaves emerge bright purple, then gain various shades of white, green and hot pink before turning green in summer. Truly a sight to see! Autumn brings shades of yellow before winter's sleep sets in.

Carolina Sweetheart® Redbud thrives in full sun to partial shade in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It does not tolerate standing water. Ideal as a specimen tree or for woodland areas.
