Zone: 3BLUE MOON KENTUCKY WISTERIA
Wisteria macrostachya 'Blue Moon' is more commonly known as Blue Moon Kentucky Wisteria. Its showy deciduous vine is noteworthy for being the hardiest Wisteria on the market! It blooms up to three times in a growing season once it is established, producing beautiful raceme flowers of fragrant, lavender-blue pea-like flowers. Flowers give way to pendant, velvety, bean-like seed pods which ripen in fall and may persist in winter. It is a less aggressive grower than some of the other wisterias but is well noted for its excellent winter hardiness and ability to produce flowers in Zones 3-4.
Blue Moon Wisteria thrives in full sun in slightly acidic, humusy-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Ideal for sturdy arches, pergolas, fences and arbors.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote new growth.
