Helianthus 'Lemon Queen' is commonly known as Lemon Queen Perennial Sunflower. This free-flowering, native perennial brightens up all late-season gardens. It features a tall and upright habit with golden yellow daisy-type flowers with light yellow ray florets surrounding a dark yellow button center. It blooms from late summer to fall attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
Lemon Queen Helianthus is deer and rabbit resistant and easy to grow. It prefers open, sunny areas in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil. It is ideal for the back of perennial borders, city and cottage gardens.
