Zone: 5MISTER LINCOLN® HYBRID TEA ROSE
Rosa Mister Lincoln® is widely considered the gold standard of red roses, legendary for its deep, velvety crimson color and an overwhelming, classic damask fragrance that can perfume an entire garden. Since its introduction in 1964, it has remained one of the most popular Hybrid Tea roses in the world. The blooms are large and high-centered, often reaching 5 inches across, and are held proudly on long, sturdy stems that make them world-class for cutting and floral arrangements.
The ideal spot for Mister Lincoln® rose is a location with full sun (at least 6 to 8 hours) and rich, organic, well-drained soil. Unlike the more mounded shrub roses, Mister Lincoln® has a stately, tall, and upright growth habit, frequently reaching 5 feet in height. This verticality makes it perfect as a focal point in the back of a rose bed or planted near a window or walkway where its incredible scent can be easily enjoyed. The foliage is a dark, matte green with a leathery texture that provides a strong contrast to the saturated red of the petals.
While Mister Lincoln® is a vigorous grower, as a traditional Hybrid Tea, it does appreciate a bit more attention than modern shrub varieties. It is generally hardy, but providing good air circulation and consistent watering at the base of the plant will help maintain its best appearance.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is rich, well-draining, and amended with organic matter. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring, just as the buds begin to swell (but before leaves emerge). Remove all dead, damaged, or diseased wood, then trim healthy stems back to an outward-facing bud to open up the center of the plant for air circulation.
