INVINCIBELLE® SUBLIME® HYDRANGEA

Hydrangea arborescens 'SMNHRL' PP34418 Proven Winners® Color Choice® Invincibelle Sublime™ is commonly referred to as Invincibelle Sublime Smooth Hydrangea. This Proven Winners® Color Choice® Invincibelle® selection features large, reblooming jade green mophead flowers which are held upright on strong, sturdy stems above dark green foliage.

Invincibelle Sublime® Smooth Hydrangea thrives in full sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It blooms on current season's growth (new wood). It benefits from cutting the stems back about one-third its total height each spring, just before the new growth emerges. New shoots will emerge and bloom the same summer.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining, rich soil with a slightly acidic pH. Provide a location with partial to full sun; this variety performs best with at least 4 to 6 hours of direct light. Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, especially during the first two growing seasons. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune back to 6 to 12 inches in late winter or early spring to encourage strong, upright stems and abundant flowers, as this plant blooms on "new wood".
