SONGBIRD™ BLUE BIRD COLUMBINE
Aquilegia 'Blue Bird' is commonly referred to as Blue Bird Columbine. This Proven Winners® Songbird™ selection features beautiful upward facing bicolor flowers that have blue and white petals that appear from late spring to early summer. Flowers attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Foliage is bluish green with a fern-like texture. It is a short-lived perennial, but will self-seed.
Blue Bird Columbine are deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soil. Avoid heavy or soggy soils as they prefer very well-drained soils. Ideal for beds, borders and dappled sun spots in the garden. Makes a great cut flower too!
