INFERNO® SUGAR MAPLE

Acer saccharum 'Jeferno' (Inferno) is more commonly known as Inferno Sugar Maple. It is a cold hardy, easy to grow deciduous tree that features a shapely habit with bright green leaves that mature to showy shades of orange and red in fall.

Inferno Sugar Maple is a slow-grower and can live for 80 years or more! It thrives in full sun in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is a low maintenance tree that should only be pruned in summer after the leaves have fully developed, as it may 'bleed' sap if pruned in late winter or early spring. Ideal as a large shade tree.
