SHILOH SPLASH RIVER BIRCH

Shiloh Splash Birch, also known as Black Birch or Water Birch, is a low canopy, pyramidal cultivar of the Betula nigra with unique bicolored foliage of green with ivory margins. It has exfoliating papery tan bark that looks great all year.

Shiloh Splash Birch is deer resistant and has great yellow fall color. It prefers wet sites and does best in moist, acidic, sandy, well-drained soils in part sun.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
