Cranberry Bush Viburnum (Trilobum) cultivars are deciduous shrubs with gray and scaly textured bark and white flowers with green foliage. Plants produce vibrant red fruit at approximately five years of age.
Arrowwood Viburnum (Dentatum) cultivars are multi-stemmed, round shrubs with creamy white flowers in late spring and early summer. Leaves emerge dark green and change to yellow and then red in fall. Black fruit ripen early fall.
Blackhaw Viburnum (Prunifolium) is a sturdy, shapely shrub or small tree with white flower clusters followed by blue-black fruit. Attractive dark green foliage turns reddish-purple in fall.
Burkwood Viburnum (Burkwoodii) is prized for its beautiful clusters of pinkish white flowers and its spicy-sweet fragrance. Upright, fully branched and well suited for hedges and screens.

Koreanspice Viburnum (Carlesii) is also called Koreanspice Viburnum. It is slow-growing, upright, rounded, deciduous shrub with red buds that open to pink, changing to white flowers arranged like a snowball. Flowers are very fragrant. Blue-black fruit in late summer.
Lantana Viburnum (Lantana) is also called the Wayfaringtree Viburnum. It is a deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub that has dark green leaves that turn purple in fall. Small white flowers are in flat-topped clusters in spring. Flowers give way to red, berry-like drupes that are very attractive in late summer.
Leatherleaf Viburnum is a large, rough textured, evergreen shrub, but in northern climates, it may lose its leaves in late autumn. It has creamy white flowers with little to no fruiting.
Nannyberry Viburnum (Lentago) is a large shurb or small tree with dark green leaves that turn maroon-red in fall. It has clusters of white flowers in late spring and early summer. Flowers have no fragrance. Berry-like fruit is yellow-red which matures to blue or black.
Sargentii Viburnum (Sargentii) is an upright, rounded, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub that has maple-like leaves that turn red in fall. Flowers are white and give way to scarlet, berry-like drupes that mature in late summer.
Sieboldii Viburnum (Sieboldii) is an upright, rounded, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub that has dark green leaves that develop no appreciable fall color. White flowers are flat-topped cymes that bloom in mid to late spring. Flowers give way to scarlet, berry-like drupes on showy red fruiting stems. Drupes gradually ripen to black.
Smooth or Winterthur Viburnum (Nudum) is also called Winterthur Viburnum and is a real beauty! It has fragrant, creamy white flowers followed by white fruit that darkens to pink before maturing to blue. Shiny, deep green foliage turns red in fall.
