Zone: 4DWARF EUROPEAN CRANBERRYBUSH
Viburnum opulus 'Nanum' is commonly referred to as Dwarf European Cranberrybush. It is a highbush cranberry which is not really a cranberry at all. Nanum Cranberrybush has a dwarf, low-growing, dense, mounding habit typically maturing to 2-3 feet tall with a similar spread. It usually does not flower or fruit. It has attractive, three-lobed, maple-like, dark green leaves that turn reddish purple in fall.
Dwarf European Cranberrybush thrives in full to partial sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It prefers loamy, moisture retentive soils and can thrive in boggy, low-lying areas.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with full sun to partial shade. Water regularly but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune sparingly and only immediately after flowering to maintain shape; avoid pruning in late winter or early spring, as this will remove the flower buds for the coming season.
