SUMMER SNOWFLAKE DOUBLEFILE VIBURNUM
Viburnum plicatum 'Summer Snowflake' is commonly referred to as Summer Snowflake Viburnum or Summer Snowflake Japanese Snowball Viburnum. It is a compact, upright cultivar with leaves and fruit typically smaller than found on other Viburnum f. tomentosum selections. It features white lacecap-type flowers in late April and May followed by sporadic flowering throughout the summer. Bright red fruit appear in late summer and early fall. Both flowers and fruit may appear at the same time presenting perfect eye-candy for a passerby.
Summer Snowflake Viburnum thrives in full to partial sun in average, loamy, evenly moist, well-drained soils. If pruning, prune immediately after flowering. Ideal for shrub borders, foundations and hedges.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with full sun to partial shade. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote new growth.
