'Donna May' is a compact, easy to grow shrub that requires little maintenance. In June, button-like creamy white flowers contrast nicely with the dark foliage. Ninebark is named for its exfoliating bark on mature branches which peels away revealing reddish brown inner bark. A First Editions® selection.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with full sun to partial shade (full sun brings out the best foliage color). Water regularly during the first growing season to establish roots. Mulch around the base to retain moisture. Prune immediately after the spring flowering period to maintain shape and encourage dense growth; avoid pruning in late winter or early spring, as this will remove the flower buds for the coming season.
