VINTAGE WINE ROSE MALLOW

Hibiscus 'Vintage Wine' PP27839 is commonly referred to as Vintage Wine Rose Mallow or Vintage Wine Hibiscus. It is a densely upright, deciduous, ornamental shrub with near black buds that open to huge 7" scarlet red flowers with dark red eyes. Flowers have a crinkled texture and are similar to Hibiscus Cranberry Crush®, but with a different leaf shape and a later bloom. Flowers bloom from midsummer to fall and stand out against its dark green, heart-shaped leaves.

Vintage Wine Rose Mallow thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is relatively pest and disease free and deer resistant. Ideal for shrub borders and large containers. Note: Perennial Hibiscus die down completely in winter and new shoots emerge in May.
