The Prairifire Crabapple is an outstanding, upright crabapple tree that features changing leaf color and a stunning flower display. Purplish-red pointy leaves appear in spring and become dark green in summer, aging to an attractive bronze-yellow in fall. As far as flowers: showy red buds open to single, fuchsia flowers that go on to produce persistent purplish-red fruit.
The Prairifire Crabapple thrives in full sun in rich, moist, well-drained soils. One of our most popular crabapples - for good reason!

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering.
