Zone: 4CARDINAL CRABAPPLE
The Malus Cardinal, commonly referred to as the Cardinal Crabapple, is a beautiful, densely-branched, broad-spreading, flowering deciduous tree with large, vibrant pink flowers and dark, almost black leaves that become more purple in summer. Small, deep red fruit follow the blooms and persist into winter. The Cardinal Crab is noted for having the best disease resistance with purple leaf color.
The Cardinal Crabapple thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soils. It is drought tolerant once established.
