GOLD STRIKE LADYS MANTLE

Alchemilla sericata 'Gold Strike' is commonly referred to as Gold Strike Silky Lady's Mantle. It is a compact, mounding variety of Lady's Mantle with smaller, lobed, grey-green leaves. Bright chartreuse flowers are abundantly produced from June through August. Deadheading before seeds form helps reduce self-seeding. The epithet sericata means 'silky' which is in reference to the soft hairs on the surface of the leaves and stems.

Gold Strike Lady's Mantle thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water or long period of drought. Pruning in late summer after blooming helps encourage a new flush of foliage.
