MAX FREI CRANESBILL
Max Frei Geranium is also known as Bloody Cranesbill. It is a compact, clump-forming rhizomatous perennial with very attractive, finely divided, dark green leaves. This hardy geranium is noted for its reddish-purple, saucer-shaped flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. The name sanguineum comes from the word 'sanguineus' meaning blood to refer to the color of its flower.
Max Frei Geranium is deer and rabbit resistant and thrives in full to partial sun in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is the perfect border plant and does well in rock gardens and as an underplanting for roses and shrubs.
