CORAL SPEAR™ CRABAPPLE

Malus 'JFS GM272MX' Coral Spear™ is more commonly known as Coral Spear™ Crabapple. It is a modern crabapple cultivar that has gained popularity for its striking columnar form and excellent disease resistance, making it an ideal choice for a variety of landscape applications, especially in smaller spaces. Coral Spear™ Crabapple has a naturally narrow, upright, and columnar growth habit. This makes it a perfect fit for tight spaces, such as along driveways, in small urban gardens, or as a striking vertical accent. It provides all the beauty of a crabapple without the spreading canopy that many traditional varieties have.

It features emerging deep pink buds that open to vibrant, medium pink flowers that hold their color well throughout the blooming season. In summer the tree is clothed in lush, dark green foliage that is notably clean and disease-free. Fall provides clusters of small, golden orange to yellow fruits which add a bright splash of color and a valuable food source for birds.

Coral Spear™ Crabapple thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soil. It is ideal for planting along streets or in sidewalk tree wells where space is limited.
