CLEMATIS POLISH SPIRIT
Grower Notes:

Clematis 'Polish Spirit' is a free-flowering, large-flowered clematis that features showy, velvety, rich purple, star-shaped flowers at the ends of its branches from mid summer to early fall. Flowers attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. It is extremely floriferous and has good resistance to clematis wilt.

Polish Spirit Clematis thrives in full to partial sun in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Clematis prefer having their 'heads in the sun and their feet in the shade' - keeping roots cool and shaded is beneficial.

Polish Spirit fall within the group of Clematis that flowers late summer on current season's growth. They can be pruned in late winter or early spring - cutting back stems to a pair of buds about one foot off the ground.
