CLEMATIS LADY BETTY BALFOUR
Grower Notes:

Clematis 'Lady Betty Balfour' is commonly referred to as Lady Betty Balfour Clematis. Some things never go out of style as our Lady Betty Balfour can attest! For over 80 years this strong-growing selection has stood the test of time with its large, 5-7 inch rich violet-blue flowers and contrasting white stamens produced in August and September.

Lady Betty Balfour Clematis thrives in full to part sun in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. (Preferring head in the sun and feet in the shade)

This late blooming variety blooms on new, current season's growth and thrives in high heat. Last year's stems will not bloom and can be pruned in late winter or early spring (Feb/March) to approximately 12" from the ground with two strong sets of buds on each stem. Blooms early summer and continues through fall.
