CLEMATIS PANICULATA
Grower Notes:

Clematis paniculata is commonly referred to as Sweet Autumn Clematis. This popular Clematis features small, one inch fragrant flowers that are produced en mass in September and October. In fall it becomes a striking silvery mass of fluffy seed heads. Keep in check by cutting these vigorous stems back to 12" in early spring.

The Sweet Autumn Clematis is quite vigorous and thrives in full sun or part shade in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is quite adaptable and will thrive and bloom well in partial shade.

It belongs to the group of Clematis which flower in late summer on current season's growth. Prune in late winter or early spring - hard prune to one foot above ground - before growth begins in early spring.
