POPE JOHN PAUL II™ HYBRID TEA ROSE

Rosa 'JACsegra' PP19107 is commonly referred to as Pope John Paul II Hybrid Tea Rose. This 2008 Jackson & Perkins Introduction is a showpiece of the Vatican private garden and features a stately and elegant clean, pure white rose with a powerful citrus fragrance. This exceptional and quite vigorous rose has 5-inch blooms that reveal up to 50 petals held on sturdy stems. Removing spent flowers encourages rebloom. Flowers flush from late spring to late fall and stand out against its glossy green, disease-resistant foliage.

Pope John Paul II Rose thrives in full sun in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-draining soils. Larger flower size tends to occur in cooler spring temperatures.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is rich, well-draining, and amended with organic matter. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Pruning: Prune in early spring, just as the buds begin to swell (but before leaves emerge). Remove all dead, damaged, or diseased wood, then trim healthy stems back to an outward-facing bud to open up the center of the plant for air circulation.
