LANHAMS BEEHIVE NORWAY SPRUCE

Picea abies 'Lanham's Beehive' is commonly referred to as Lanham's Beehive Norway Spruce. The bold texture of 'Lanham's Beehive' makes it a stand-out in the garden. Its needles have a slight glaucous tint, and are thicker and longer than other dwarf cultivars. Cinnamon colored stems and buds create a nice contrast with the foliage.

This very attractive mounding spruce enjoys full sun to part shade in average to evenly moist, well, drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water. It is tolerant of urban pollution and will thrive in city environments.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
