HEUCHERA GUACAMOLE
Grower Notes:
Introduce a splash of vibrant color to your garden with Heuchera 'Guacamole' (Guacamole Coral Bells), an attractive perennial prized for its brilliant, over-sized, lime-green to chartreuse foliage that maintains its bold color through the growing season. This vigorous, mounding plant is a great choice for brightening up shady garden spots, borders, rock gardens, or containers. In late spring to summer, airy wands of dainty, creamy-white flowers rise above the foliage, attracting hummingbirds and butterflies.
Extremely low-maintenance and naturally deer and disease resistant, Hosta 'Guacamole' thrives across a wide range of conditions (USDA Zones 4-9). For best results, plant in well-drained, fertile soil that is kept consistently moist. While it can tolerate a surprising range of light, the foliage will maintain its most vibrant color and avoid scorching in a spot that receives partial shade, especially protection from intense afternoon sun. Deadhead spent flower spikes to maintain a tidy appearance and apply a layer of mulch to conserve moisture and protect the shallow root crown, making this easy-care perennial a must-have for bright foliage interest.
