AMETHYST MIST CORAL BELLS

Heuchera x 'Amethyst Myst', commonly known as 'Amethyst Myst' Coral Bells, is highly prized for its striking, semi-evergreen foliage, featuring large, lobed leaves that are an intense blackish purple with a distinctive, glowing silver-blue overlay and prominent black veining; the undersides maintain a rich royal purple color. 'Amethyst Myst' forms a compact, tidy mound, typically reaching 18-24 inches tall and 12-18 wide. In late spring, it produces airy spikes of small, light pink to white bell-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds.

Coral bells are a great low-maintenance perennial and are easy to take care of. They blend well with most perennials and have a low, mounding habit that is perfect for container gardens and tucked between other plants in a shaded garden.

Coral bells prefer partial shade and well-drained, moist rich soil. They do not tolerate clay or acidic soils. You can cut back their flower stalks in fall to direct energy into their foliage.
