Echinacea 'Balscandin' PP26640 US7,982,110 is commonly referred to as Double Scoop™ Mandarin Coneflower. It is part of the Double Scoop™ collection and features a compact habit with flowers that have short orange petals surrounded by longer orange petals. It has excellent branching and cold hardiness and makes a great cut flower.
Coneflowers are an eye-catching and popular perennial for many reasons. They are easy to grow and are heat and drought tolerant. They flower all summer and attract all kinds of birds and pollinators. They typically thrive in full sun, but if your summers are hotter than Hades then they could use a bit more shade and water to prevent burning.
