STELLAR PINK® CHINESE DOGWOOD

Stella Pink® Dogwood is a hybrid dogwood (Cornus florida x Cornus kousa) that was developed as part of the Stellar series of dogwood by Rutgers University. This small, deciduous dogwood has vigorous growth and an upright habit with lush green foliage and exceptional, large, soft pink blooms in mid to late May. Fall foliage is a showy purplish red. It has good resistance to powdery mildew and anthracnose.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun to partial shade - these hybrids are more adaptable to sun than C. florida. Ensure soil is rich, well-draining, and slightly acidic. When planting, keep the root flare visible at the soil surface; avoid burying the trunk. Water deeply and consistently during the first two growing seasons. Pruning should be minimal; only remove dead, diseased, or crossing branches in late winter or early spring.
