Decadence® CHERRIES JUBILEE FALSE INDIGO
Decadenc® Cherries Jubilee Baptisia PP23907 is commonly referred to as Decadence® Cherries Jubilee False Indigo. This Proven Winners® selection is part of the Decadence® series of Baptisia that feature rich colors and a shorter, more compact, well-branched habit. Cherries Jubilee is noteworthy for its deep maroon buds that open to bicolor maroon and yellow flower spikes above blue-green foliage in late spring. As flowers mature, they turn gold. No need to deadhead the flowers as they will continue to attracts bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators throughout the growing season. Flowers fade to colorful, ornamental seed pods that extend the interest into fall.
Cherries Jubilee Baptisia is deer resistant and thrives in full to partial sun in average, sandy, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. This easy to grow perennial is ideal in the middle of borders or along foundations. They are very long-lived once established.
