APOLLO® SUGAR MAPLE

Apollo® is also known as Acer saccharum 'Barrett Cole'. It is a narrow, dense, columnar, semi-dwarf, straight trunk tree that is ideal for tight spaces. Its dark green foliage of summer withstands the summer heat and in fall matures to a showy spire of gold, orange and red.

Apollo® Sugar Maple thrives in full sun in well-drained soil. It is tolerant of sandy and clay conditions. Full sun will give you the best fall color. It is ideal as a street tree or in a small urban garden.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
