Thuja occidentalis 'Janed Gold' PP21967 is commonly referred to as Janed Gold Arborvitae or Swamp Cedar 'Janed Gold'. It is a sport of the ever popular Emerald Green Arborvitae. It features a tight, compact pyramidal-columnar habit with bright golden yellow foliage throughout the year with good color retention without turning bronze.
Janed Gold Arborvitae thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It would benefit from protection from harsh winter winds. It is ideal as a specimen plant, border or screen plantings and even in rock gardens and containers.
