REGAL PETTICOAT® SYCAMORE MAPLE

The Regal Petticoat Sycamore Maple is a medium-height, deciduous tree with a more rounded form. It is noteworthy for its distinctive leaf coloring with foliage emerging burgundy tinged olive green with vibrant red petioles. In summer leaf surface is dark green; underside is burgundy. In autumn, leaves change color again to bright yellow with warm pink undersides.

The Regal Petticoat is quite adaptable and has good disease resistance and drought tolerance. It grows in full sun and average to moist soil conditions. It is tolerant to urban pollution and will thrive in city environments.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
