REALFLOR® SUNBEAM SHASTA DAISY
Leucanthemum 'Real Sunbeam' is more commonly known as 'Real Sunbeam' Shasta Daisy. It is a vibrant and cheerful yellow Shasta Daisy from the Realflor® series, bringing a ray of sunshine to the perennial border.
Its flowers are distinctly deep, colorfast yellow, a departure from the typical white of most Shasta Daisies. The blooms are large (3-4 inches across), featuring a single layer of petals that are sometimes described as having 2-3 extra rows, surrounding a contrasting deep golden center. The color holds well throughout the long season.
'Real Sunbeam' Shasta Daisy has a robust, upright, and tidy habit, growing to about 18-24 inches tall and wide. It is a very floriferous variety with strong stems, blooming heavily from early summer through early fall. It requires full sun (at least 6 hours per day) and well-drained soil to thrive. Deadheading spent flowers will encourage its exceptionally long bloom period. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5-9, is deer-resistant, and is an excellent, long-lasting cut flower.
