Leucanthemum superbum 'Banana Cream II' (Banana Cream II Shasta Daisy) is an improved Shasta Daisy prized for its long-lasting, multi-tonal blooms that bring a unique twist to the classic garden favorite. Lemon yellow flower buds open into creamy yellow, semi-double daisies that gradually brighten to a creamy white as they mature, giving the plant a lovely two-toned appearance throughout the summer. This highly floriferous perennial has a naturally tidy, upright habit, reaching about 15-18 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide, with attractive dark green, disease-resistant foliage that makes it an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings, or containers.
'Banana Cream II' Shasta Daisy thrives in full sun (at least six hours a day) and well-drained soil. Good winter drainage is crucial for its survival. It is a low-maintenance, long-blooming perennial that benefits greatly from deadheading spent flowers to encourage a continuous flush of new blooms from early to late summer.
