GRANITA® RASPBERRY® ICE PLANT
Delosperma granita 'Raspberry' is a vibrant addition to the ice plant family, known for its exceptionally large flowers and intense coloration. The blooms are a rich, saturated raspberry-pink that seems to glow against the backdrop of its fleshy, succulent green leaves. It is particularly valued for its compact and tidy growth habit, forming a dense cushion that stays low to the ground. Its flowers are not only large but also prolific, often covering the foliage entirely during the peak of the blooming season, which typically extends from late spring through the heat of summer.
Delosperma 'Raspberry' thrives in the harshest spots of the landscape, making it a perfect choice for rock walls, steep slopes, or the front of a sun-drenched border. For the best performance, it must be situated in a location that receives full sun to ensure the flowers open to their widest potential. Like its relatives, Raspberry requires soil with excellent drainage, such as a sandy or gritty loam, to prevent root rot. It is a highly water-wise plant that, once established, can handle significant periods of drought with ease.
