PUCKER UP® RED TWIG DOGWOOD
The Pucker Up!® Red Twig Dogwood is noteworthy for its attractive, and quite unique, puckered foliage. Bright red stems hold white flowers in mid-summer. Pucker Up!® is a low maintenance, compact plant that features bright red stems in winter making it an excellent choice for borders, mass plantings and containers. To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in full sun to partial shade; it is highly adaptable but performs best in moist to wet soils. It is the premier choice for rain gardens, bioswales, or naturally damp areas. Pruning: The vibrant red stem color fades on older wood. To keep the stems bright red, perform rejuvenation pruning (coppicing) in late winter: cut one-third of the oldest, dullest stems to the ground. This encourages new, vibrant red growth for the following winter season.
