The Zelkova Village Green is a large, fast-growing, vase-shaped, deciduous tree with a graceful shape and dense canopy. It has a straight trunk with attractive exfoliating bark that reveals orange-brown inner bark. Oblong-elliptic dark green leaves in spring mature to an attractive rusty red in fall. Tough and dependable, the Village Green is pest and disease resistant and can thrive in city environments.
It enjoys full sun in average, well-drained soils and is highly desirable for the urban landscape.
