GREEN VASE ZELKOVA
The Green Vase Japanese Zelkova is a vigorous selection with a narrower, upright, vase-shaped crown. It is a tall, graceful, deciduous tree with fine textured foliage that produces dappled shade. It is very tolerant of pollution and city conditions and a suitable substitute for Elm trees. It featured oblong-elliptic dark green leaves that turn shades of orange and bronze in fall. Its smooth, gray bark exfoliates with age to reveal deep orange and brown inner bark making even the dormant season ornamental.
The Green Vase enjoys a sunny exposure with average, well-drained soil. It adapts well to city environments and makes an ideal street tree.
