SONIC BLOOM® PUNCH WEIGELA

Sonic Bloom® Punch Weigela (Weigela florida 'SMNW9RB' PP35918 Proven Winners® Color Choice® Sonic Bloom® Punch Weigela) may be the smallest, most compact plant in the Sonic Bloom® series. It features bright hot pink colorful flowers in late spring with a summer-fall rebloom. Flowers attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Foliage is a showy bronze which contrasts nicely with its vibrant blooms.

Sonic Bloom® Punch Weigela is deer resistant and thrives in full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily) in evenly moist, well-draining soils. Its medium size and mounded habit make it an excellent choice for the middle or front of a mixed perennial or shrub border. The vibrant pink blooms and bronze-green foliage provide continuous color from spring through fall, adding a dynamic layer to your garden design.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with full sun to partial shade. Water regularly but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune immediately after the main spring flush of flowers fades to maintain shape; avoid pruning in late winter or early spring, as this will remove the flower buds for the coming season.
