Weigela x ‘ZR1’ USPPAF, CPBRAF is commonly referred to as Electric Love™ Weigela. It is a low, mounding, deciduous shrub with abundant bright red trumpet-shaped flowers and purple-black foliage in late spring and early summer. Flowers rebloom in August allowing this selection to look refreshed and impactful! It attracts hummingbirds and butterflies all summer!
Electric Love™ Weigela thrives in full to partial sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It blooms on previous year's growth so prune gently immediately after flowering, if desired. It is ideal for perennial or shrub borders, along walkways and in foundation plantings.
