PINK JOHNNY JUMP UP

Viola 'Pink' brings a softer, more delicate palette to the garden, ranging from pale blush and dusty rose to vibrant magenta. Many of these cultivars feature a "cap" of darker rose on the upper petals or a glowing yellow center that radiates into the pink. They are often chosen for their ability to soften the look of a garden border or to create a romantic, pastel-toned container arrangement. Their sweet, subtle fragrance is often more noticeable in pink varieties, making them a favorite for window boxes or areas where they can be appreciated up close.

For the most successful growth, plant pink violas in a spot that provides filtered sunlight or partial shade, as extreme heat can cause the lighter pink pigments to fade or "bleach" over time. They prefer rich, loamy soil that drains well but holds enough moisture to stay cool. Providing a balanced, liquid fertilizer every few weeks will help maintain the intensity of the pink hues and support a steady supply of new buds. If the weather becomes exceptionally warm, ensuring they have consistent moisture in the morning will help the plants resist wilting during the heat of the afternoon.
