MIXED MYRTLE
Vinca mix is a vibrant collection curated to provide a diverse palette of colors in a single planting. These heat-loving annuals feature the characteristic glossy, oval leaves and five-petaled flowers typical of the species, but in a spectrum that includes brilliant whites, soft pinks, deep magentas, and often varieties with contrasting eyes. Because they are grouped as a mix, they create a cheerful, multicolored carpet effect that is perfect for filling large beds or adding variety to patio containers. Their uniform growth habit ensures that the different colors grow at the same rate, maintaining a balanced and professional look throughout the summer season.
The ideal spot for a vinca mix is a sunny location that receives at least six hours of direct light, which is necessary to fuel their continuous blooming. They are particularly well-suited for the hottest parts of the garden where other annuals might wilt, as they possess excellent heat and drought resistance. Soil should be well-drained and allowed to dry out between waterings to prevent root issues, as these plants do not like to sit in saturated ground. Placing them in a raised bed or a container with drainage holes will provide the best environment.
