STERILE EASTERN SNOWBALL EUROPEAN CRANBERRYBUSH
Viburnum opulus 'Sterile' is commonly referred to as Eastern Snowball Viburnum or Sterile Eastern Cranberrybush. This hardy, rounded, upright, deciduous shrub features masses of large, pure white, snowball-like flower clusters in late spring. Its bright green serrated lobed leaves turn a showy purple in fall. Smooth gray bark and gold branches are highlighted in the winter months.
Eastern Snowball Viburnum thrives in full to partial sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It prefers moist conditions and should not be allowed to dry out. It is ideal as an accent plant or in borders or foundation plantings.
