BRANDYWINE™ SMOOTH VIBURNUM

Imagine a shrub adorned with a breathtaking display of decorative berries that change color like magic! That's the Brandywine™ Smooth Viburnum (Viburnum nudum 'Bulk' Proven Winners® Color Choice® Brandywine™ Viburnum), an award-winning viburnum that boasts fragrant white flowers in spring, followed by clusters of green berries that transform into a dazzling display of pinks and blues. Butterflies and birds adore its flowers and eye-catching fruit. It even helps ensure bountiful fruit set for nearby Winterthur Viburnum.

Brandywine™ is deer-resistant and thrives in full sun with average soil that stays evenly moist, making it a low-maintenance choice for the landscape.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with full sun to partial shade, in moist, well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, as this variety prefers not to dry out completely. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune sparingly and only immediately after flowering to maintain shape, as pruning in late winter or early spring will remove the flower buds and prevent the production of the ornamental berries that make this plant exceptional.
