Thuja occidentalis 'BailJohn' PP15850 is commonly referred to as Technito® Arborvitae. This First Editions® selection is an attractive, dwarf, evergreen conifer with a compact pyramidal habit. This is the dwarf form of the popular Techny Arborvitae. It features dense, scale-like sprays of dark green foliage with good color retention and wind burn resistance through winter.

Technito® Arborvitae is easy to care for and low maintenance. It thrives in full to partial sun in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It requires no shearing to maintain shape and holds up well under heavy snow. It is ideal for hedges, privacy screen and specimen plantings.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in fertile, well-draining soil, selecting a location that receives full sun to partial shade for the best foliage density and color. These evergreen species are adaptable, but they require consistent moisture to remain healthy and vibrant, particularly during the first few growing seasons until the root system is well established.
