The Adams Columnar Yew (Taxus cuspidata 'Columnaris') is a distinctive evergreen shrub prized for its vary narrow, upright columnar form. Reaching 10-12 feet tall with a mere 3-foot spread in its initial 10-15 years, it features dark green foliage that maintains its rich color year-round. Female plants produce attractive red drupes in the fall.

Taxus cuspidata 'Columnaris' thrives in average, medium-moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade, particularly favoring moist, sandy loamy conditions. It exhibits excellent pruning tolerance but is intolerant of wet soils.
